Be independent, supported by a collective

An independent cam model works alone, often running on pure willpower to stay motivated. No colleagues, no support, no real structure — this way of working leads to a loss of motivation, less money and burnout.

Other remote industries already fixed this. Programmers work alone from home too, but they don’t leave it to chance — daily checkins, iterative cycles, Discord channels, and regular motivation calls give structure to the work, help people stay motivated, and keep them improving.

LaColectiva brings those same practices to independent models. You work as part of a loose team based around Discord, you start your sessions with a quick check-in with your guide, and you work in two-week cycles to keep your stream improving.
